2022 Enchanted Readathon - Week Two

Hello, my fellow book nerds! Another week has flown by!

Let's see... how many prompts have I completed...

2/16...

Well... Definitely not where I had hoped I'd be today. But you know, I'm still making progress! And while I only have 2 prompts finished, I am in the middle of two books going towards prompts right now!

Work has just been more mind-numbing than usual and I just haven't been able to pick up and focus on a book as much as I'd hoped. I do hope that this next week will change. But we'll see. At this point, I no longer see myself finishing all 16 prompts, but that doesn't mean I won't continue to try.

So what did I read?

I finished Games We Play by Dana Isaly for the Drink Me prompt.

This prompt asked that you read a book with 150 or fewer pages. I'm also dying at the fact that this book could not have been a more ironic choice for this prompt... If you're unfamiliar with Games We Play, lemme just say, it's a very raunchy erotica book. And the details that occurred... Well, this prompt fits very well for the title of this prompt...

I'm almost picked something different for this prompt too. When I was picking my books initially, I grabbed this title because Goodreads has this listed as it being 90 pages. Well, I realized after I finished, that this was actually 154 pages... But there were a few blank pages in between chapters and the text is fairly large in the print copy... so I just decided to count it anyways.

So what am I reading next?

I'm still currently reading The Whispering Dead by Darcy Coates for the Mandrake prompt, which asks that you read a book with plants on the cover.

I also start Hearts of Briarwall by Krista Jensen for the Sands of Time prompt, this one is to read a book set in a different decade.

Up next will be Silver Flame by Karpov Kinrade, which is going towards the Blood Sucker prompt, which askes that you read a book involving vampires.

And yes, I'm very much being a mood reader and pretty much straying from almost all my initial book picks. Not kidding, I'll probably change my mind again on another next week!

That's it for today! Let's see how many I prompts I can get through this next week!
