Hello, beasties!
How did your reading go this month?
This month was ROUGH! I set out this month hoping to get some more Stephen King books under my belt. But life had other ideas. I expected my reading to be slower after such a busy reading month in August, but oh boy, I had a terrible reading slump.
I only managed to finish my book club's picks this month. Having the book club helped me at least keep reading, but even those I struggled badly. Outside of that, I had a hard time focusing on anything. And it's not that I wasn't enjoying what I was reading. I just couldn't focus on it. I tried a mixture of reading styles, too. Physical books, Kindle books, audiobooks, immersion reading. Nothing really helped.
I think I was simply just burned out with life. Things were stressful for various reasons. I've been able to read more easily this last week.
I'm excited for a fresh start with October!
What did I read this month?
I finished the following books:
The Last Town by Blake Crouch
A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher
I’m currently reading:
'Salem's Lot by Stephen King
Skeleton Crew by Stephen King
11/22/63 by Stephen King
Bloody Black by Rhiannon Hargadon
Tongues, Vol. 1 by Anders Nilsen
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
Manacled by SenLinYu
I started a few books this month on top of some already started reads. Hopefully, within the next month, I'll finish my current reads! But I also have a new, fun reading challenge for October that I'm excited for! Check back tomorrow to see what I'm doing!
Until next time!
