Meet the Bookstagrammer

Hello, beasties!

Can you believe it's been 3 years since I started blogging? I can't believe it myself! Time certainly does fly. I never expected my page to have grown to where it is today when I first started blogging.

It's been a while since I've done a post about getting to know me, and I never actually posted one here on my site! Soooo...

It's Booksta Background Storytime!

When did I start my bookstagram?

January 29, 2020. Three years ago to date!

What inspired my username?

Call me lame, but I love Disney and I've always loved Belle! I did a lot of brainstorming on what I should call my blog, but ultimately, I wanted something that was cute, fun, and hinted towards something I enjoyed. So Beauty's Library is a play on Beauty and the Beast and Belle's love for reading.

Why did I start?

After graduating college, I had all this free time on my hands and didn't know what to do with it. So, I decided to start blogging! I thought it would be a great way just to track what I was reading. I didn't expect anything more than that. But I discovered an amazing book community and I couldn't have been happier to find my people!

What do I read?

I read anything and everything! Honestly! I feel like I can't even say my top three genres are Thriller, Fantasy, and Horror anymore because I read such a wide range of books now.

First review?

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager was my first “formal” review. It was one of the first thrillers I ever read and I highly recommend it. Being one of my first reviews, it's not very good. But I got better!! Check it out here!

When do I like to read?

Honestly, I'll read whenever wherever. But I'm very much a night owl, and nothing beats reading at night snuggled up and getting lost in a book.

Favorite bookstagram challenge?

I simply love reading challenges! I don't know if I truly have a favorite. In fact, I love them so much that I even started my own last summer creating my very own "Enchanted Readathon" to help get through backlist books with fun prompts.

Favorite part of bookstagram?

The community, hands down. I never expected to find so many book lovers like me. I've made so many great friends since I started this page.

Bookstagram made me buy?

Everything! Y'all are terrible for my bookshelves.
