Hello Beasties!

Life's been busy this month already with work and family. I haven't had a chance to sit down and write this post. And now we're a week into the month! Time is seriously flying by!

How is your reading going?

I haven't done much so far. I started my July book club pick right before the beginning of the month, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, which I'm enjoying! I know this will make for a fantastic discussion later this month.

I've also already got a DNF. I finally decided just to stop trying to get through Brynn and Sebastian Hate Each Other by Bethany Turner. I've been trying to read this for the last couple of months. I loved the beginning, but quickly shifted to not enjoying it as we got into the swing of things. Oh well.

So I turned to the sequel of Butcher & Blackbird instead, Leather & Lark, a book I know I'll enjoy! While not as entertaining as the first one, I am still enjoying it! Maybe I'll pick up the third one after I finish it.

Overall, though, I feel like I've been reading a lot of romance and thrillers or just serious books lately. So this month, my mood reading is going off in a different direction. I've been wanting to pick up some fantasy books, or more specifically, Beauty and the Beast retellings.

The three pictured are the ones I'm considering picking up! They're new ones I've gotten recently. But we'll see which ones I actually pick up. My mood reading has been very strong lately!
