02.01.2026 | February Matchmaker Readathon

Hello Beasties!

Anyone else just love LOVE?

Romance has easily become a favorite comfort read for me. It's just fun to watch characters fall in love sometimes. So, of course, I'm always excited for February to give myself an excuse to read romance after romance!

And I wanted to do another fun reading challenge to help me get through more of my backlist and keep me engaged with my reading. I truly enjoyed my LOVE bingo last year, but I've been such a mood reader lately that I wanted to give myself a way to have a bit of both. So I created the Matchmaker Readathon!

I actually got the idea during my last reread of Lore Olympus. There's a scene where Eros is talking about the different arrows he has for his matchmaking duties. So I figured, what if I made a readathon around that concept, that I'm helping Eros with his matchmaking duties by helping people find love!

The goal here is simply to collect hearts by reading books! This is actually very similar to my Apothecary Readathon that I did back in October. Just instead of ingredients, I'm collecting hearts (book tropes)! Once again, though, to add a bit of challenge, only one heart (one trope) may be 'collected' per book. Though the book must be finished in order to 'successfully collect' the heart, so if I DNF a book, I will lose out on whichever trope I was hoping to get. And it's okay if I collect a second heart with the same trope! I have a plan to showcase which tropes had more than one heart collected.

I have an idea of how I plan to illustrate the page, but I need a few books finished before I'm confident of getting it on the page. But I can't wait to share how it looks at the end of the month!

I'm eager to get started! I've already started on my first book for this month!
