Lore Olympus ~ Volume II Review

I’m seriously falling in love all over again reading these books.

Rating: 5/5

Scandalous gossip, wild parties, and forbidden love—witness what the gods do after dark in this stylish and contemporary reimagining of one of mythology’s most well-known stories from creator Rachel Smythe. Featuring a brand-new, exclusive short story, Smythe’s original Eisner-nominated web-comic Lore Olympus brings the Greek Pantheon into the modern age with this sharply perceptive and romantic graphic novel.

Content Warning: Sexual Assault

Eeek! Oh, how I love this series! I’m seriously falling in love all over again reading these books. It’s such a different experience than scrolling on your phone.

I’m so in love with our couple, Hades and Persephone. Persephone’s character is such a joy to follow, she’s so full of energy and positive vibes. And Hades is so moody, but I love how he cares for Persephone.

The storyline we see is unique and captivating. Even though I’m already familiar with these episodes, it was so much fun to reread them.

But what I truly love in this series is all the artwork! This style is so vibrant! I love all the colors and it’s so expressive and unique. By far my favorite graphic novel series!

I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys graphic novels, fantasy with a modern twist, and greek mythology retellings.
