Heather imagines spending her #unplugged days traipsing through the woods and tending to her garden. However, her cottagecore fantasy is turned upside down when a wounded cryptid crashes into her roof—and her heart.

With no help from her internet followers, and the local monster-hunter growing suspicious, Heather’s quiet life in the wilderness has suddenly become a little more complicated. To make matters worse, she thinks she might be falling in love with the brooding winged man in her living room.

I really didn’t know what to think about this one. And I was not expecting what we got. But I’m not complaining!

I really loved this one from the start. I found our main character, Heather, so relatable. She’s an influencer basically born into one thanks to her mommy blogger mother. But she’s feeling burnt out and abruptly decides to unplug and unwind with a cabin in the woods in a small town. But her little cabin also happens to reside within the forest where the local monster lives. And when he crashes into her roof, she can’t help but want to help him. And maybe fall for him.

This was such a cute grumpy sunshine paranormal romance. Seeing the budding romance between our cryptid and our city girl was so freaking adorable! I loved every minute!

And holy moly! The spice we get in this one too, was on another level. It was actually a lot spicier than I anticipated it getting. While it had plenty of tender moments, this one also has some good hot HOT HAWT moments too! Though, we do see plenty of sexual tension before we get to any of the spice. The wait was so worth it though! This one will surely make you flustered.

And the storyline was so unique and entertaining. I’ve never read a book around Mothman, let alone a paranormal romance. But to say the least, I’m OBSESSED now. I didn’t expect any of the twists we see. And while it does end in a way where we know there’s going to be more, it does give us that HEA feeling where you could stop there if you didn’t want to continue. Though, I would definitely suggest continuing! I could not get enough of this Mothman romance! Mothman has become my book boyfriend forever!

I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance, especially cryptid monster spice and enjoy small town vibes!
