Jack is a faceless gamer known as The Joker. He makes a living playing video games and using his gravelly voice to bring people’s sexual fantasies to life.
When the top gaming site on the West Coast sends someone out to interview him, Quinlan walks into his apartment with her auburn curls and thick curves, and they’re instantly drawn to each other.
Quinlan has no idea of the monster that lurks beneath the surface of his calm demeanor.
Jack is quicksand, pulling her down into the dark underbelly of his desires.
To get out unscathed, she’ll need to give into the hunger she has always tried to deny.
Content Warnings: D/S + BDSM Sexual Content, Mention of Suicide Attempt
It’s hard to put into words how I feel about this book. I feel like it’s wrong to say I enjoyed reading this. But I did! This was an entertaining, darker, spicy read!
Though this book could make some people uncomfortable around the type of sexual content we see.
While I did enjoy this, some parts made me a little uncomfortable at times. Mostly because this had some more intense sexual scenes than what I was used to reading, there are some intense and BDSM sexual scenes, primarily D/S kinks. But as long as that’s not off-putting for you, the plot around it is entertaining to follow!
We primarily follow Jack, aka The Joker, who’s made a living being a video game streamer while also having a side gig of using his deep voice to bring some viewers' sexual fantasies to life with his voice. And Jack agrees to be interviewed but as soon as he sees the journalist writing the article, he can’t help but feel drawn to her. So, he offers her the opportunity to experience the fantasies he brings to life for one night.
The whole premise is definitely fun and unique! I could easily imagine Jack’s voice. This is one that I wouldn’t mind rereading through an audiobook! My only complaint is I wish it was a little longer!
This is a quick dirty romance read surely to make you feel flushed!
